Singapore in August - Tales from Alana Corporate Consultant Gilpin Travel

1315193814_11orang.JPGFlew up in business class on Singapore Airlines , great service and very comfortable lie flat beds with great food that just kept coming.

Went to the top of Marina Bay Sands – amazing views unfortunately didn’t get to see any rooms as all 2500 rooms were fully booked! The infinity pool on the roof (200m high) had awesome views.

Visited Sentosa Island for a day and a few resorts & hotels. Such a short drive from the City Centre but it felt like we were a world apart and in a whole new place – very resort! Checked out universal Studios however didn’t get to try out any rides but did have breakfast at Singapore Zoo and got to hold a snake and have my picture taken with the Orangatangs.

We spent an afternoon checking out China Town and little India and one evening we did a short river cruise from Clarke’s Quay, a different way to see some of Singapore. Travelled on the Singapore Flyer – much like the London Eye but bigger with great 360 degree views. The famous Raffles hotel was viewed and afterwards we were treated to a Singapore Sling – a must have in Singapore.

Ended the last day with a little bit of shopping before heading to the Airport – coming home in Economy was tough after being in Business Class but still a nice product!
